Huenito
Huenito is a Brazilian comic book artist and illustrator best known for his work as artist and co-author of TEETH OF GOD - a sci-fi/horror graphic novel for the British metal band SLEEP TOKEN - and the supernatural thriller NOBRE/LOBO, winner of the CÁTEDRA DE LEITURA UNESCO-PUC RIO Award - 2019 Edition. Born in 1993 and heavily inspired by the work of artists such as Mike Mignola, Kentaro Miura and Sean Gordon Murphy, Huenito crafts a dynamic, high-contrast art that resonates with the themes of noir, horror and dark fantasy he grew up loving so much. His work caught the attention of Sumerian Comics with whom he partnered to bring SLEEP TOKEN’s TEETH OF GOD to life alongside co-author and colorist Fabi Marques. This partnership led him to become the writer of TANZNEID - a sci-fi comedy/adventure graphic novel for one of his favorite bands, ELECTRIC CALLBOY. He has also worked in advertising for clients such as P&G, AACD and the Brazilian Ministry of Health, developing storyboards, character designs and concepts for various commercials, showing his versatility as an artist able to go from the darkest graphic novel to the cutest marketing campaign and delivering whatever the client needs.
